BIOS flashing

Hello world,

I has reading the instructions on how to flash by BIOS but when it came to makiing a bootable floppy with

format a: /s

Windows 2000 does not have that command. Is booting to the command prompt the same as booting to DOS?

You will need to use a bootable floppy boot disk since you'll need to copy the flash util and BIOS update file to the bootable floppy disk. Here is where you can get a Win98 boot disk:

I forgot about that site.

So I guess the command prompt in 2000 is not close enough to DOS.

I flashed my bios without booting from a floppy (i don't have a floppy drive) I just booted into dos mode and did it.

I'm assuming you did this in Win98?
