Black & White

Hi everybody,
I've installed Black & White, but when I tried uninstall it, I accidentally open another software, and uninstall was stopped.
After that, I cant run Black & White and also cant completely uninstall it. This software dont have reinstall function, so the only way is to uninstall and install again. Every time i run uninstall, a message box comes out and says
"error on:0x80040720
reason: failed to load dll file: E
installing progress will stop"(i just translate it into English, sorry for the grammatical mistakes)
Is there any way to uninstall it completely?

you will need to install it again into the same directory it was in, then uninstall it. If it refuses to "reinstall" then delete all the files you can find for it then install again, and uninstall http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

But the problem is: whenever I delete the directory of the game, its name still remains in the Add/Remove program. Every time I run setup, it automatically check it and only ask me if I wanna delete it . And the same message box appear...
How can I find all the files of the game?(except those in the game directory)

The problem is that it is still sitting in the registery somewhere. I don't know enough about the registery to try and help you with that, but when it didn't fully un-install then that left stuff lying around that would have been removed. You can try to find it in the registery but without some guidance that could get ugly.

What you could do is load up the registry by typing 'Regedit' in run programs, and do two registry searchs for the name 'Black & White' and also for the name of the company that made the game which i think is Lionhead Studios or something like that. Then if it comes up with any bits left from the game you can delete them manually.

You don't have to get rid of allthe registries pertaining to Black & White. Just find the string with Uninstall in it. If your using Win98(I don't no ME so it could be diff), just
go to the start menu
go to run
just type in "regedit"
expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
then
expand software - microsoft - windows - current version - uninstall.
You should find either Black & White,lionhead or some jibberish like "{FE6A4089-EB0F-11D4-9DEF-00104B70C5FB}"
Just click each one until you see in the right window uninstall string, when you get rid of that it'll think Black & White is uninstalled.

I agree with Helmud. The remaining keys will still be there but you don't have to worry about that. The most inmportant is to get that annoying thing from Add/Remove out, right?
