I have a Dell NAS Powervault 701n, I want to be able to access it over the internet, I am running win2000 and have dsl service and a linksys 8 port router. I tried to set it up in the router under forwarding, I put port 80 to port 80, checked off tcp and put in the ip address of the nas and place a check next to enable but could not access the nas, Did I do this right?

Please help

I also was reading the manual and it stated that when using forwarding you have to disable dhcp because the ip of the server will change. But the Powervault 701n is assigned a static IP which will not change. Do I have to still disable dhcp or will it still work the way it is? The only things that are dhcp are the computers. The nas is static.
