I just got NFSHP2 for XBOX at Christmas and I keep getting disk read errors, I orgionally figured it was the CD then I noticed them in other games, all but THPS2X. I called XBOX and they said they rarely hear about this happening and that they could fix it for me if I wanted to pay $100US and ship is to the US which would in international shipping. When I hung up a looked online and there are many people with this kind of issue. Now I am trying to decide, should I send it and get it fixed, buy a new one for $299 with 2 games, or just get a Game Cube which I always liked and used to have before the XBOX?

Just to let you know, the XBOX is $199 with the free games;)


If I were you I would send it back to the store that you bought it from and have them give you another one. It should still be under warranty?:confused:

It is not under warranty and it is $299CDN, by the time I pay for everything it will be $200CDN. There is only a 90 day warranty, it is about 5 months old :mad:

IT changes but last I checked it was about $2 US ='s $3 CDN. You do the math. Its a big difference!:eek:

It is not a pretty difference, $1500-P4 gamer is right, it is usually about that.

just call microsoft up and when you talk to their tech support tell them that you started playing your ps2 and they will fix the xbox for free :)... at least that worked with sony... a friend told them that he was playing his xbox and was planning getting more games for it since his ps2 didnt work and they offered to fix it free of charge... they even covered the shipping fees :O
