I have an ENPC motherboard w/manual, but there is confusion of the pinout configuration regarding the connectors.:(

On the board I have 8pin male connectors for peripherals (PS/2 mouse, USB ports, etc.). The diagram looks something like this:

1
. .
. .
. .
. .

Location of pin 1 (upper left is undisputed). But, after reading the documentation it is unknown weather the pinouts are in a counter clockwise, or staggered configuration.

Examples:

(counter clockwise)

1. .8
2. .7
3. .6
4. .5

OR

(staggered)

1. .2
3. .4
5. .6
7. .8

A screenshot section of the manual is attached for view. I bring this up because some pins are physically unavailable which really got me confused.

Staggered is standard practice.

Thank-you BipolarBill. This saved allot of time. Now I'll investigate with the manufacturer why the mouse data pin is not in place, or put one in (presuming assembly error).
