I am installing 2K oem on a new coputer., and i don't know what file type to use NTFS or FAT32..????:confused:



ALSO. my OEM WIN2K Came wiht 3 discs labeled., = WINDOWS2000 OEM Preinstallation Kit. (system builder program)
, Windows 2000 cd,
and
WINdows 2000 Step by step interactive.???
WHich one do i use and what order adn how do i use them..
Much Help needed:confused:

You could do FAT32 for now if you are unsure. you can always convert to ntfs using this command:

convert c: /fs:ntfs


just use the windows 2000 cd. no need the other ones. :)

I prefer Fat 32 as its easier to repair in the case of a disaster, all you need is a win 9x bootdisk :D

But I have windows 98 shooould i make a boot disk out of ahtat.???
And would i use the boot disk for win2k????

Also how would u make a boot disk would i go to..ummm. i ahve no clue how to make a boot disk:D ....

And I could just go to bios and set the proitietry to boot to cd_rom dirve first and just load Window 2k... htere right??.....

I hear a lot of people using Fdisk to format there new drive couldn't i just use the win 2k cd to do it??????????

to make a boot disk in win98, go to control panel - addremove programs - startup disk

you don't need to make a boot disk for win2k. the cd is bootable

yes, you should use win2k to do it all, partition, format and install.
