Max Payne Problems

my friend got a Geforce 4 Ti 4600 for X-mas, and he fired up Max Payne to see what maxed out graphics look like. Unfortunately, it did not work, and he tried to fix the prob(so he says). He has the latest Nvidia drivers, how could he fix this problem?

both make about as much sense as each other.

What is his OS?
What is the rest of the system? (RAM, CPU, HDD Space)
What was his previous OS?
How did he install the card?
Did he re-install Max-Payne?
Did Max Payne work before?
Do any games work?

We need more info before we can even start to help your freind.

reinstall max payne, direct x, ghfx drivers.. god knows - liek Stefan says - a LOT more detail required

Also if he is on XP then have him update to there latest patch. :t

P4 1.8 Ghz
256 RD RAM
don't know the mobo/chipset
Geforce 4 Ti 4600 128MB

Max Payne worked on this comp before, was not reinstalled, or modified. The comp came with windows XP and the partition has not been modified. Other games, like cs and d2 works.

that's all i know. I don't know if the updates will work, because the game is bootlegged.

for future reference, that is not discussed here. This is an internet.com site and they cannot be seen to accept piracy of any description. Those sort of details you must leave out.

Try re-installing MP as it will more than likely be trying to use the old drivers.

i have a similar copy and can get the first patch to work, after that though - the patches no workee'
