Colleagues:
I have SB Live Value hooked onto Iwill KK266 mobo and 4 Cambridge Soundwork speakers plus subwoofer. 2 of 4 speakers (one pair of left and right) are plenty loud, but remaining two keep low "up to ear" volume regardless of how high the volume switch is. I'm running Win98se, 512 PC133 SDRAM, T-Bird CPU.
I'm using software & drivers that came with 1 month old card and am about to download latest software and drivers. Anyone had this problem before?
Thx!

Brangwen....
Please don't take this DUMB question wrong(4th glass of wine), and I'm sure you have CH'ed this but is the balance set correct for 4 speakers in your MIDI player? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/redface.gif

Yes, Hotrod, but I appreciate the reply http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif! I downloaded the Live software which helped alot, but two speakers (lower right and upper left) are quieter than the upper right and lower left. Right now I'm blowing my socks off with Mel Etheridge tunes! Hmm. May be contacting Cambridge Soundworks as they could be wired wrong!

Are you running the sound card to a separate amp and then to the speakers? I have a CSW Desktop Theater 5.1 and if you don't have your cables hooked up right, this will happen.

Scourge:
I have a Cambridge Soundworks speaker setup: 4 small (satellite) speakers hooked to subwoofer, which in turn is hooked to soundcard SB Value. The subwoofer likely (I'm guessing) contains an amplifier. I don't see how a soundcard could drive 5 speakers otherwise. And the speakers are plugged into an AC adapter. Any specific ideas?
Thx!

I have an SB live value, and the cambridge 4.1 setup. Check that the speakers are connected to the sub correctly (e.g. speaker at the front, are connected to the correct ports on the sub, and same for back), in my setup the front speakers are slightly louder than the rear. So i'm guessing if ya hooked em up wrong it could be causing this problem.
Good Luck
