WinRar's the one. Ultimate is good in that it will open pretty much everything. Can it compress to other formats as well? WinRar's got good compression though, I've heard of ppl getting files down to 20%

Depends on the type of the files which are being compressed. You can't do much with MP3, for example, while .DOCs' compression ratio is very high.

Still, RAR to rule the world :)

Like the people said before.

WINRAR is the way to go fur sure.
Used Winzip for a long time til I tried Winrar and was in love with it's great versitility and such.

i like winrar as well, shows you the filing system in the zip file ;)

WinZip doesn't show you anything, it just shows you what files are in the zip and not mention what the file system is... yer basically left to guessing.

The in-built zip program with Windows XP is also very nice, you can Ctrl+X/C it and move it to a directory without browsing, quite nice i thought.
