Well sort of. I finally finished everything thing up on mom's X-mas present and went to turn it on for the first time. I had the case open and when I pushed the power on, I saw a really bright glow on the motherboard near the CMOS battery and the USB plug for the USB connections on the front of the case. I guess a resistor let go or something because now it is pretty much dead. Most everything sounds like it is working, but no video and it gives three beeps instead of one when you turn it on.
I am 99% sure everything was hooked up correctly, and even if it wasn't, I can't think of what could have caused this. I am sending it back saying it was DOA since it obviously had something wrong. Anyone ever shipped stuff back to them have any good/bad stories? My last computer build up went smooth and works perfectly so far. I have spent over $1000 with them over the past year and this is my first problem. BTW this motherboard was the Shuttle AK32A retail version. I've had two Shuttles, not including this one, and they've been good for me.
