If so then yer SOL for any support or anything!!!
I just called because I'm haveing problems with install, blue screens and all. I called the "long distance" support, and they ask me my phone number, then asked me what the model number was, and i said well i'm not sure of the model number but it's an sblive value digital. He then said they don't support any oem cards, and that they didn't make digital in the retail, that supported 4 speakers.
Anyways, basically I argued and said, so yer telling me yer not gonna support yer card then?, and in so many word, the answer was yes, sorry.
What a crock of SH***T!!!

Guess I'll be ditching this sblive, and buying a card that the company can stand behind it's products.

GAWD this pisses me off. What a load of ka ka!

I hope you see this sh**t creative!! cause you can all go to hellandback!

When you buy any OEM product you almost
never get support thats the price you pay
for the lower cost of OEM.If you post your
problem here I'm sure you will get all the
support you need.

Easyrider:

I just finished downloading 25 megs of SB Live software for my Value card. When I ran setup it locked up my entire system. I dumped it, reloaded some VIA drivers for my mobo, reloaded the SB stuff and it's cranking! Bottom line, describe your problem. There's a good chance someone here can help you out.

Good luck.

Ok, I'll start this and keep it as short as I possibly can.
I started off playing around with Cs(counterstrike) and my Ato radeon haveing problems with smoke and slowdown, wich is another discussion but Ill not go there.
Well I read somewhere that maybe it was the sblive card that was casueing the problems, so....i took out the sblive, put in a vortex 1, and booted and got all sorts of gltches and blue screens and lockups while instlaling this card. So I pulled it out and thought ok lets try a vortex 2, same thing happened.
I tested it without a sound card and it was still the same effect in cs. I thought well ok ****, it's not the card. Well I put back in the sblive, and booted, it came up found my hardware, and I hit cancel, since creative and all thier wonder glory, has to have a setup, instead of indiviual drivers, so i cancled out and then went to the setup.exe and the 3 other exe files. I hit setup.exe, it started to install and it all went smooth and fine UNTIL, the last of the install, rite ofter where you pick how many speakers or headphone or whatever, then hit ok and it says please wait while setup finishes or whatever it says. After that gets done it gives me the following message in a blue screen:

"The volume that was removed had open files on it. Next time please check first to see if the volume can really be removed"

I hit enter and it goes to a black screen, then a few seconds later it come up with an error but because it's glitched out, I can't tell what it is, it shows all blank.

I then reboot and come back and it seems to have installed, but, if I try and update, it give me the same effect and error.

I've checked for virus with 3 av programs, found none, I've tested the drive for stability it's fine, I've scandisked, defragged, still no good, I've gone into the reg and windows nd removed anythig with creative, or sblive or soundblaster in it, then tried t re-install, still no good still the same effect and errors.

What am I missing here? did I miss some aureal files?
I'de really like to do this from scratch and without the errors if possible.

Any help is appreciated.
