Hi All

I can get this board for low cost and was thinking about making a server based on it. This will use up some odd parts in the parts bin i.e. 766Mhz Celeron, 512MB PC133 RAM.

I was planning on using Linux Mandrake 9.0 to avoid the need for paying Bill for more MS OS

Only to be as print server and web development platform (Apache?) and probably an Internet sharing "linkage" for 2 users, using ISDN (cannot get ADSL in my UK geographic area):(. Not intended for any significant file sharing related work.

Is it worth going with this board?

:)

Any system over about a 500MHZ Celeron would make a fine server. It's all really in the OS...

Yes, it's worth it. It's good enough.
