I have a pIII 550 and i just downloaded sandra. i was wondering what mflops were? i'm at work so i can't remember the exact names but there was mflops and one other thing.... could somebody explain these and maybe post there stats for comparison? we could see who has the better benchmarks as soon as i figure out how to report it...

check this thread http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum3/HTML/002019.html for the stats that some of us are getting out of our Celery 333a's.....dont get to disapointed as we have started to tweak our systems to the max! accourding to sondra I am beating the PIII 500's in all area's execpt the SSE instruction set (the celery doesnt support it)

that was helpful, but does anybody know what mflops or the other one are? what they mean?

MFLOPS = Million Floating Operations per Second (Whetstone measure of FPU performance). The "other" one is MIPS which is Million Instructions per Second (Dhrystone).

thanks a bundle... any p3 550's out there with benchmarking stats? i'd love to compare... i'll run mine as soon as i get home from work. thanks people!
