The riovolt (or any other portable CD player) doesn't put out enough power to the line out or headphones jack to power the speakers loud enough for you to hear them. You can get an in dash tape/radio player and do it in one of three ways. 1. It has a "CD in" jack that you hook right in to 2. you get a tape adapter kit 3. you get a radio adapter kit, these are kind of new, they're about $20 bucks, and it transmits your CD player on an unused FM station at about 10 feet I'm guessing so that your radio in your car picks it up. There is one more way of doing this. You get car audio amp, and use a regular 1/4" jack to RCA converter and hook your player straight to the amp. deltaf508 04-15-2001, 12:03 AM Better....Try this....Build your own http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif www.mp3car.com (http://www.mp3car.com) Gary SysOpt.com
