PHP Nuke is a content management system, I myself have just started to use it,

http://coolchip-computers.co.uk/

you need a webserver, with PHP and MySql support, then you need to install it to your web root and run the install.php file by doing http://webserver/install.php where webserver is the name of the machine or internet address.

I'm not keen on using it and am gonna write my own content management software for my site when i get chance, like i have done for http://coolchip-computers.co.uk/theshed/

php nuke REALLY sucks if you are at an intermediate level with PHP..usually beginners dont care how the template looks, and experts dont have any problems modding templates. I know when I used it I almost died from all the crappy premade templates, and the lack of explaination of how to modify existing ones / create your own.
