I'm pretty sure my Volcano 8 SE went last night, the fan portion of it anyways. What is a good fan I can slap on top of that heatsink?

If possible, I'd appreciate Canadian links to products, such as NCIX.com, and quotes in Canadian funds. I appreciate the effort of our non-Canuck members, but some days I can't get the conversion thing right.

Thanks in advance!

Logan...
You should be able to find a ThermalRight AX7 for a decent price... even in loonies.

I'm real happy with the performance, and when coupled with a good brand 80mm fan, you can get real good cooling with relative quiet. YS Tech 39cfm, or Sunon 50cfm (on my hotter cpu).

Sorry, I can't help with Canadian vendor links... though I have spent considerable funds in support of the Canadian Ballet in Windsor (though being from North Bay area, you may never venture down to civilization... like Jason's), and various makers of malt beverages (Brador's, OV, Blue) :t

If you want a replacement fan, just get a 60MM Sunon fan and slap it on the heatsink. It's quite a bit thicker than the 15MM thick fan that came with the Volcano 8. The Sunon is 25MM thick. At NCIX.com, the price is $10 Canadian.

If you're not sure about that, then just get a Volcano 5 or 6, remove the fan, and put it on the Volcano 8 heatsink.

If you want a brand new heatsink, you can get the Dr. Thermal TI-V77L for $29 Canadian at NCIX.com.

If you're getting a new heatsink, one of the mentioned Thermal Integration or Thermalright products would be great. I've also heard good things about the new vantec aeroflow. :)

If you wanna be cheap, you could slap a different fan on your current heatsink, like omega31 said.
