for now i'm using a copper heatsink with a coolermaster fan on a 1500xp

would the coolermaster work better for now compared to a generic fan?

The coolermaster is a generic fan. :p

I don't understand your question... yes, a copper heatsink is better than a generic aluminum one, and a generic-generic fan of decent speed, perhaps 5000 RPM, would do well, although it might not last as long.

I just helped a friend build a XP2400 system. He got a Thermal Integration V77L, and his idle is 33C. I didn't get a chance to check his load yet. :p

Yes we like it, too when we need it. Otherwise it just gets in the way.

Hey I've got one of those HHC-001 Coolermasters. It cools pretty good, but man is it ever LOUD! I got a Thermalright SLK-800 with a decent 80mm fan and my temp went down a couple of degrees and it's MUCH quieter :t
