I don't know of any that interface with your recovery disc, but there is diagnostic and repair software.
There are a few of them.
Norton's Utility is probably the most popular. McAfee makes one.
Oh yeah, there's one included in your operating system if you have a Windoz product.
The real issue is do any of them work?
It might be better to post your problem or symptoms, and get some ideas on how to address it from that point.

what you are asking makes no sense..a recovery disk will take your system back to day one from the manufacture, and utilities that diagnose your system will tell you to the best of the programmers ability what is wrong with your machine and suggest solutions...norton utilities, fix-it utilities, among others.....go to download.com and do a search for them

Is there a program or utility out there that essentially goes through your system and says "you need this,this and that". You put your recovery disk in and do it. Thanks.
