Hi,
I cant believe Im asking this question, but I never had to do it and never read on it. I have some extra MB on my not so big HD, and I want to create another drive Z: in WIN98, however, I have NO idea how! I think I did it once LONG time ago by going somewhere in Control Panel or something, but not sure how anymore. If there is no way of doing it like this in win98, which software should I use?
thanks :t

Win98 cannot create partitions. You need to use fdisk or partition magic to create the partition. Then you can format it in Windoze, if you choose.

you gotta fdisk the drive first using a boot disk. then you can go into windows, right click on the drive and choose format.

Not exactely the Correct Way to do it is to Buy a new HDD have a Technician Install it inside the PC, the go to Control Panel, and Admin Tools, then Drive Manager, then Partition and Format the newly installed Drive

if that's not the way you remember it, then it's Fake and it will not work

Um, Im just trying to create a Z: drive so I can access it from C: drive. Basically z: drive will be just my 'game" drive, where I will save my game files. Basically I just want to access Z: drive from C: drive.

Yup, either Fdisk or PartitionMagic will make the Z: partition on the drive for you. Or like AllGamer said, if you want you can buy and install a second hard drive, and designate it Z: with one of the above programs.
