Partition HD

I am using Partition Magic V6.0 to partition my 20G HD that has no partitions on it.When using the wizard the max partition size is 2G,how can I make this larger?

I would recommend using FDISK to create the partitions initially. I have never used P.M. to CREATE a partition so I can't address the specific problem you are seeing but I KNOW that FDSIK will allow you to create whatever size partiton you want (provided you have a version that supports Fat32).

The 2G max may have something to do with running under DOS. Dunno for sure.

When you create a partition with PM, the default setting for partition type is "FAT". Change that setting to FAT32 and you should be able to create any size partition providing it's not a BIOS limitation causing the problem.

it'll be in the command directory in windows.
e.g "c:\windows\command\". It comes with all versions of dos.

Make a Windows 98 boot floppy. Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel and then double click on Add/Remove Programs. Then click Start Disk and voila!

If I "FDISK" this will wipe the drive of all information?
