I think is got replaced by 640U and I can't find it new or find any reviews anywhere. But it's only $60 refurbished. All I'll ever use it for it scanning photos and posting them on the web. From time to time I might scan a magazine pic, but that's not that important. Is it 36bit? Does it scan photos well?

I have one which I bought new. Can't say about the refurbs but the one I have is an excellent scanner. Fast, not too noisey, and produces very nice images.
Worth a shot IMHO.
