I need to get a monitor. I was thinking about a 15 inch(has to have a 16.5 inch depth or smaller), between .2 and .25 dotpitch and for it to be a good gaming monitor. I am looking to spend no more than $170. Has anyone heard of any or personally used a monitor with there spec.s or similar? Are there any i should avoid?
Thanks you your help.

If you have $170 to spend on a monitor that HAS TO BE smaller, you have an enormous amount to choose from at 15" size. But you should be able to find a small (max. 16.5" depth) 17" monitor for $170, such as a Samsung SyncMaster. For gaming, go with nothing under 17", and if you can, go 19" if at all possible. Gaming is frikken awesome on 19". Costco and Sams Club are both selling 19" Princeton and Sylvania monitors for $179, but they are also often on sale at places like Best Buy (not my favorite store) with rebates and stuff like that for as low as $149.

Are you going to order it on-line?? If you go to the store, often they've got great sales going on, especially around x-max.
