AOL IM Express and WebTV

OK, we got my grandmother setup on WebTV, and she'd like the ability to chat with all the family members who have AOL IM. I've seen IM Express work fine on your standard PC, but it requires Java support to run. I have no idea if WebTV supports this or not. She has the sony unit model INTW150. If there is any way to do this, she'd be most appreciative. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Im pretty sure that WebTV has no Java support - No program support except for basic HTML and like pull down menus and stuff.
Ive never tryed it on my moms WebTV, but I'd Imagine it wouldnt work.

WebTV supports Java Script,Flash 2 or 3 don't remember, Old real audio, html, some other things but No it does not have Java altho they have been promising many times that they were going to put Java on WebTV Plus, and if they did I don't know but I doubt it.
