Hey ya'll,
My friend has HP XG834:
Intel Celeron 766 MHz
256 MB PC133
20 Gig Hard Drive
onboard video card
onbord Crystal sound card

He's using Windows ME and in DirectX on display tab it shows that he has just 5 mb of video. It's kind of bizzare, on HP web it says that he should have like 32 or more. I tried to update bios, video drivers, cleaned up startup programs. Well still shows 5 megs and doesn't show what GPU engine does this Video Card has.

Help....!

The video system is using regular RAM. It's shared memory. If you check system RAM, it's probably down by 5MB.

He probably can't support 3D.

Well, he could run GTA 3 on his PC and other new games like Age of Mythology works preetty good.

Yah, well I'm sure it would run better with a GF4 Ti! :)

Definitely shared memory on that computer...and he won't be able to play very intense games in 3D...better to have a separate video card instead of onboard any day
