I am using the SBlive value and the altec Lansing 4 speakers with sub. I set my Sblive software to surround but it doesn't work so I switch it back to 4 speakers and no problems.

Will this do surround sound?

I think surround mode might be referring to if you are using the SPDIF output?

In case you have 5.1 surround speakers that use the special output..

4 speaker output is surround enough for me http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Live! Surround is a two-channel sound output suitable for outputting to a home theater system. It encodes the extra output as stereo surround sounnd.
