Is there a shortcut/quick guide to determine what CPU'S are interchangable?

I was wondering if there is a web site or something to help quick referance interchangable CPU'S?

I believe he wants a guide on what motherboards can support each CPU. I don't know of any quick reference sites with a chart or anything (although that would be REALLY nice!). You can check on sysopt in their guides, www.tomshardwareguide.com (http://www.tomshardwareguide.com) in their guides, or www.anandtech.com (http://www.anandtech.com) in their guides. Each one is like an online book; there aren't any quick references.

Perhaps you could tell us about a certain situation you have?

Actually I have a HP AMD 450 Paavilion. I would like to know how far I could increase the processor?

I should have been more clear on the topic, Yes I was wondering what would fit into what? What would work with different slots etc. Just an overall cross reference guide, like a junk yard would use to locate auto parts!
