Hey peeps,
I have to run to the comp store today with a friend b/c he wants to add some ram to his system. Being I couldn't get to his house I had him pull the ram stick that was in there and bring it to work.

The chips read "Kti" which I'm assuming is Kingmax?

And I have a serial # reading "MPGA83S-883". Running around I think this is the SDRAM stick. Is this correct?

Not sure on the size, but I'll just get him a lot of MB's for what he wants to spend.

OMT, this is the PC-133, what's the next speed step up? I'm not sure of his Mobo, but I don't think I need to be concerned with that if all the other info is correct. Thanks a bunch.:t

Edit: As a side note, when he gave it to me it was all wrapped up and he put it in his eyeglass hardcase. He unwrapped it and as he was handing it to me he said "You better not shock this thing." Just then soon as my finger hit it, wouldn't you know the biggest static crack I ever heard hit it. Man, I was LMAO. His face was priceless.

Took a look its kingmax ram 133, might just get all the same in case that strip is damaged, if you get alot of page faults then you'll know its too zapped when trying to access that page in ram. Kingston says its not backward compatable with pc100 boards just in case. How fast a cpu is he using?
