Should I move to OPERA?
using WINXP Pro here!
I haven`t had any problem with IE...but I just read an article about MS and I didn`t like it much!

Should i?

Go ahead and try it. You might like it. Also try http://www.mozilla.org/ for the Mozilla browser and the Phoenix redesign of Mozilla. Netscape 6 and 7 are based on Mozilla.

Yep have to agree - The new opera is rather good and has some useful features but Mozilla is great - problem is if you use google toolbar and other addins like xenobar , dap or roboform you're stuck with ie which unfortunately is the case for me.

OPera is nice but I have noticed sometimes it won't load pages correctly poor HTML coding of webmasters but I really like some of its features if it does crash it will reopen all your pages where you left off and a few other neat features but I would not unistall IE you made need it on a few pages.

Opera all the way.A great browser no question.
Phoenix is good too but in MHO Opera beats it by far.

Neither - get phoenix, faster than any other ive used and with tabbed browsing.

If you must get one of the two get Opera, that has tabbed browsing also - which is a godsend :D

What`s tabbed browsing?

opening several pages within the same browser window. Cannot be done in IE, everything has to be opened in another window, makes for quite a mess if your like me. With tabbed browsing all the pages are opened in the same window and vcan be sifted through by clicking on each pages tab

Mozilla

The open source, free web browser Mozilla has finally reached a point where a full release is about to be issued. The code tree has been closed, and a final release is being tweaked. But you can try the RC1. Both Opera and Mozilla have two features that I consider indispensable in a browser -a built-in pop-up killer and tabbed windows. These features can be enabled or disabled. Tabbed windows allow the viewing of multiple webpages in one browser window without barring the opening of another browser window - a handy feature for comparison-shopping or monitoring eBay bids. Internet Explorer does not support these features yet. -

http://www.mozilla.org/

101 things that Mozilla can do that IE cannot - "I happened upon this item on a couple of sites today, though they credited Slashdot.org for the original link to this page. I don't normally like to re-hash, but this is a no- brainer. Mozilla remains my default browser, largely due to item number one on this lengthy list of "101 things that Mozilla can do that IE cannot." Tabbed browsing. That only scratches the surface, as you'll see when you visit the list. I still use IE quite frequently because it does render some pages better than either Mozilla or Opera, but my use of IE continues to dwindle with each subsequent release of Mozilla (and IE for that matter). I have no expectation that you will all suddenly dump IE in favor of Mozilla, but I do think it wise to understand what Mozilla is all about, and how it is bringing more functionality and convenience to the modern web browser." -

Yes Mozilla (Netscape 7, 8) is definitely Waaaaaay better than either one
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.2.1/mozilla-win32-1.2.1-installer.exe

Opera is not bad, but very crumsy keyboard short cuts

if you just want something for SUPER SPEEDY access then get the

PHOENIX 0.5 (new mozilla code)
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/phoenix/releases/0.5/phoenix-0.5-win32.zip
