Hi, Can anyone tell me what I can use to open .rar files? I have tried nearly every program on my PC!

.rar archives can compress quite impressively... Only problem is that it isn't as popular as zip... Windows XP should support it as well as zip files... :(

Thanks for your help. I do not really want to buy winrar when I never really would use it. Is their no way that I could open the file without it?

you don't have to buy it, just click on the download button and click on winRAR download.

winRAR is the best, it can unzip .zip and .rar files... i think it can unzip .ace files too..

Winrar and Winace are good. UltimateZip is free and will open rars.

hell yea, winrar rocks!!!! now the thing that I wish I could get is the compression utility that companies use to compress thier software with. I've downloaded files that are four megs in size, but inside they are a woping 20-30 megs!!:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
