***** 14 April 2001 -- I posted this to the motherboards forum, please post any responses there, Thanx *****
An interesting requirement to get the "made for Windows XP" label that most computer makers (resellers) are going to want is that all computers are going to have to have 1394 ports. Now, I'm not complaining (other than, what took so long!), but here's an interesting question. Unless you want to add a card with FireWire (which seems to defeat the whole FireWire/USB thing), somebody is going to have to make a motherboard with native FireWire support. Other than one Gigabyte socket 370 board, I haven't found one. I'm waiting. Anyone know of any other boards that have FireWire (especially for AMD Athlons and Durons)?
-Thanks
