Ok I have Black and White, and my computer freezes when ever it goes to a cut scene and it does it almost everytime and it does it on Giants to. I have a 700 Celeron and a voodoo 3 2000 PCI, 128 MB RAM. But one other thing that might be why is I have only a 250 W. power supply could that be the problem maybe? I dont know it only does it on really graphic intensive games like the ones I just named. I just got this computer and I have all the lastest drivers for my motherboard. any ideas? And as I said before I just bought this Processor and Motherboard and I did a 3dMark 2000 bench with a 300 Celeron (But he had a G-force card) and it about kicked my computer out of the water even on the CPU part of the test I don't undertand please help?

This may not help you much but,I have a 250 watt power supply and don't have trouble with graphic intensive games including Autocad. 600@990 w/viper 770 ultra.

It's probably how you have your computer set up. Go here http://www.tweak3d.net and check out their tweak guides (their on the bottom left). It's most likely your hard drive pageing. But could be any number of other problems.

Off the top of my head I would suggest reinstalling DirectX, getting new drivers for your video card, and motherboard. Also get Sisofts Sandra! It will give you some indepth info, and tweaks to get your PC running faster.

Other programs to get would be TweakUI, and Winboost 2000 (I think it's 2000).

Good Luck!

Also the reason your friend is beeting you in 3Dmark. Is his card is faster. Plus it has whats called a GPU (graphics proccessing unit). Wich gives him the edge in CPU scores to!

Thankyou! Yeah I think it has something to do with the Hard drive to cause every time it goes to a cut scene the hard drive starts working really hard and then it locks and freezes. thanks for your help http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Im not sure how to fix the hard drive settings tho
