When booting my system with the Win98 Start-up disk, it says Drive C does not contain a valid FAT or FAT32 partition.What the hell is up?
also
under system properties...the performance tab it says...Compatibility-mode paging reduces overall system performance
and
Drive C is using MS-DOS compatibility mode file system.


Can anyone please help me???

Is your system going into safemode? That's what it sounds like to me. Are you trying to reformat? or just trying to boot up.

Sounds like you need to format your hard drive or it is formatted in NTFS. Have you ever had NT or W2k on there? After you boot with the 98 boot disk, you can run fdisk to partition and format your drive and start from scratch.
