Running two 30Gb WD drives, ATA100 on KT7-RAID, 900Mhz T-bird.

SANDRA2001
drives bench 41290 in RAID 0 mode.

As for the speed of yours, use the disk that came with your drive and make sure that it's running in DMA mode 5 (ATA100).

One tip, I'm using a fixed swap file, and ran Norton SpeedDisk (defrag). I found almost a 20% speed gain after SpeedDisk.

Ooops. Turned on the DMA and it jumped to 15725 with AOL running, Callwave, Virus scanner,Zone Alarm.

Had a benchmark of about 17000 (i forgot the exact number!) with my wd 20gb hd 7200rpm ata100 (even though it's running at ata66, 'cos i don't have an ata100 controller) and running Windows 2000. After I applied the ATA66 patch for Windows 2000, it jumped up to around 21000.

system specs: K6-3+ 632 (115x5.5), EPOX MVP3G2, HDD Maxtor 15.3Gb 7200 rpm 2 MB cache.OS Win2k with latest Via 4 in 1.

Did a drives bench in Sandra 2001 with my setup:
MSI K7T Pro 2-A
850 T-bird
Maxtor UDMA66 7200 RPM 13.6 gig HD
256 meg pc133
GF2 MX
Etc.
Put out a lousy benchmark of 9700????
My Abit BE6 with a 700 Cel. put out around 15,000+ using the HighPoint ATA controller?

wow my hdd only pulled a 8513 w/ aol and windows media player open, this sucks, its a maxtor 15gb but system can only run it at udma 33, is this a typical benchmark rating for this system?

ok did a fresh reboot w/ nothin open and got a 11000, my cpu got a 1076 mips and 530 mflops. my system sucks!! and i just ran a temp reader and before when my comp was on the ground it was in the high 70 F and 80's but now that its on my desk it sits at !!!!!!!95!!!!!!!! degrees F. is this decent or very bad?

1.2 Ghz T-Bird, Iwill KK266 mobo, IBM 100ATA with IE and a few background programs running. If it matters I have not rebooted all day:
