Ok, so i got this ati readon 7000 AGP card i want to put in.

So i put it in the AGP slot, and turn the computer on, and i get like 3 long beeps and no display. i don't even think my computer boots up fully. i tried plugging the moniter in both the old moniter inptut and the new one on the video card, and still nothing.

anyone know what the problem is?

"i have a HP 8495"

This would be the problem!

In my experience with propritary machines, they dont like new hard ware!

Cut my teeth on Packard Bells, Thank god there not sold in the US anymore.

If the unit is still under warranty, The Manufacturer will tell you that you will void your warranty if you install it, and will not provide any tech support in the matter.

Maybe someone has a known work around for this short of format c:

No real easy fix for HP and there propriatary BS.

This is probably a stupid question: Is the card down in the slot as far as it will go?
