Howdy,
Does anyone know if there is a way to search or do a find on multiple word documents at once? I'm doing some research and doing word finds document by document is really beating me down
:(

Assuming you got windows 95 or 98 you can seach all documents at once for a text phrase. Don't know for sure if you can do from word, as i only use to type reports. But here goes,
First, get all your doc files in one directory tree, will save time.
2nd, now right click on start button
3. choose search option
4. in advanced search, choose search for text
(you can also select file size type etc here as well)
5. make sure the directory the search is pointing to is the doc file one
6. search.
If you end up searching your whole hard drive it will still work but take ages to complete.
