Hi to all,

I am using Windows Xp Pro for more than 4 months with my ASUS P4B533-E
Motherboard with my P4 2.4GMhz CPU. Everything is fine except the
promise raid controller takes too long to recognize the drives. So I
downloaded the Pure Udma driver from Lumberjacker web site yesterday.
I keep getting the following message when I boot from DOS mode into
Windows XP:

MB Ultra 133(PDC20276) BIOS Version 2.20.1020.13
D0 Not Detected
D1 Not Detected
D2 CD-W540E Ultra DMA2
D3 Not Detected

MBUltra133 (PDC20276) BIOS is not installed because there are no
drives attached.

I am not too sure what did I do wrong. So I simply outline what I did
so far:

(1) After I upgrade my BIOS from Asus Official BIOS 1011 to
Lumberjacker Pure UDMA 1011 and then reboot my computer.

(2)After I boot back into Windows XP, I went into my Control Panel's
Device Manger 's SCSI & Raid Controllers and then manually update the
driver for WinXP Promise MBUltra133 (PDC20276) IDE Controller. The
reboot my PC.

So may I know what should do to fix this problem ??

Please kindly advise ASAP.

Let me get this straight - you flashed your BIOS from RAID to plain IDE?

Can I have a link to Lumberjack please?

That's normal ... if you have nothing on the controller that needs boot support, then there's no need for the BIOS services to stay resident.

It's merely the message that is misleading, it should say "no drives that need boot support" instead of just "no drives".

Where are your drives actually connected? I see the TEAC burner. Where are your hard drives connected?

Frankly, you seem to have it backwards. Hard drives should go to 3rd-party IDE controllers and optical drives to the onboard ones. This is so that you can choose to boot from the CDROM drives.
