ShawnD1 11-27-2002, 03:21 AM -dogs are very social -cats just do their own thing and will completely ignore you half the time -dogs do some pretty sick things but they are willing to clean themselves off -cats dont get as dirty but they adamently refuse to bathe and attack you if you even try -you can look into a dog's eyes and have your heart just melt -looking into the eyes of a cat won't bring out much emotion. dogs are nice :) bushmaster 11-27-2002, 08:24 AM FISH Bigjakkstaffa 11-27-2002, 11:09 AM Dogs are big and dopey - like people - theyre GREAT :D Cats just look shifty and scheming to me -- dont liek em at all --Jakk:t j.m@talk 11-27-2002, 11:14 AM Quite enjoy a bit of moggy ;) sm8000 11-27-2002, 11:26 AM Cats. Low maintenance. user0209 11-27-2002, 12:10 PM haha I like cats though they look shifty. haha. They're pretty clean AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO PICK UP THEIR SH!TS. (gosh, picking up dog sh!ts is the only time you ever pick up sh!ts). Cat petting is cleaner, cooler than dog. like the other guy said, low maintennance :D bob05 11-27-2002, 12:16 PM I HATE BOTH OF THEM! I hate dogs because they ate my bunny, Inspector Gadget, when I was 5. I hate cats because we have neighboors with 50 million of them and they poo in my backyard! Take my advice and get a bunny.:D leprechaun_40 11-27-2002, 12:16 PM Cats are best. Dogs drool, demand attention, poop on the floor, want in, want out 5 seconds later, ****, drool more, sniff crotches( this can embarress a new girl friend),dig in the trash, bark all night or day and drool. Dogs like to play, that part is good, but cats will play too. Cats are good. They are independant, quiet, don't sniff crotches, they don't drool ( did I mention dogs drool?), They capture unwanted rodent life, crawl in your lap and purr when you pet them, they play with toys and are fun to watch. My cat comes when called, enjoys food from the table ( somewhat like a dog) and is all around pleasant to be around. I have bathed her( when really needed, and it's not fun) but cats don't often need a bath as they are self cleaning. I'll stay with cats, dogs drool too much:p :p Baddog 11-27-2002, 12:26 PM Originally posted by extreme_gamer what are better??? dogs or cats??? OOOoooooooooh ;) :p user0209 11-27-2002, 01:38 PM Originally posted by Baddog Dogs taste like beef (with gravy of coarse) and cats taste like chicken. :D Dog meat and wine are a favorite in Asia. Dog tastes more like pork, while cat is white meat, so it's like chicken! It's horrible to see a plucked cat! ukulele 11-27-2002, 01:47 PM My dog can catch a pig or a cat. My cat can't even catch a rat. I don't know where my dog poops and don't ask, but the **** cat craps in the sawdust in my shop. If I ever catch him I'm gonna chop off his tail and make him a matching collar. :r bushmaster 11-27-2002, 02:30 PM Dogs taste like beef (with gravy of coarse) and cats taste like chicken. Iwas going to say the same thing about dogs tasting more like pork. I've actually eaten it on more than one occasion. Hell actually when you get sweet and sour pork in some disreputable restaurants you would never know the difference unless you've eaten dog. Now don't think I go around the neighborhood looking for stray pooches to saute. But 20 years ago when I was doing a tdy in an un-named country one happened by and we were hungry. Sometimes MRE's just don't cut it. Baddog 11-27-2002, 02:52 PM Sheesssh, you try to come up with a cute little joke and everyone takes it seriously...... TARP2 11-27-2002, 02:57 PM Yeah, EVERYONE knows cats taste more like hamsters...:r BadBadNeil 11-27-2002, 03:25 PM dogs... when people have cats they never seems to keep em inside always roaming around. If they get in my yard i consider it open season on them. People are warned. oh and cats poop just as much as dogs they just try to bury it (believe me i've seen it) then they smell their own poop. as someone else said cats seem shifty and caniving. Dogs are cooler too because they seem easier to train and to give orders etc. Beeblequix 11-27-2002, 03:34 PM Dogs **** on the floor, or backyard, or wherever you normall walk. Cats **** in a litterbox/garden, and bury it to destroy the evidence. Back in the dark ages Europe was faced with the Bubonic Plague, one which ravaged the whole continent. Circumstantially, the people were always starving. Cats became a source of food. What they didn't realise is that the cats were eaters of rodentia, the propagating means of this terrible plague. They ate the cats, the rodents infested the land and spread the disease everywhere. Maybe they never taught you this. They might not have also taught you that the disease still exists (we had a case of it two years ago in southcentral Utah, plus lots o' haunta virus). Cats are a means of keeping pestilence-spread human illnesses in check. They also scare off mummies (at least that's what the movie established...). I taught my cat to fetch, only it was called "bring". Then we went on vacation and she forgot...Cats have no concept of their mortality, thus seem to always run right in front of you when you're driving. Cats think they're gods. Dogs think you're gods. My old Scottish terrier was obsessive compulsive -- he had an incessant urge to lick the carpet. And just like crapping, you'd walk along in the family room with bare feet and *step* in a big circle of doggie-snark. *ew* Playing with a dog involves a ball, maybe a frisby. Playing with cats involves bandages and neosporin. Both have their place. ß.Qµix ukulele 11-27-2002, 05:23 PM Dogs **** on the floor, or backyard, or wherever you normall walk. If that is the only place a dog has to go, then you should get a cat. My dog has 4 acres to roam at will. He never leaves the property, even when following me unless I let him. He sleeps outside on a sometimes muddy driveway to protect my family whether it is raining or not. He is mostly pit bull but would never bite a human. He shares his food with the birds and wild mice. but he hates cats. I'll never understand why because actually the cat is not a bad sort. I think both domestic dogs and cats and bunnies too, have a certain mutual benefit for each other and their human friends that allows them all to survive together just a little better. :) j.m@talk 11-27-2002, 06:00 PM Originally posted by ukulele I don't know where my dog poops and don't ask, They are not very big on communication @ "Casa Uke" Me thinks :p sm8000 11-27-2002, 06:08 PM Well, one of my cats drools. But only when he's on you, nuzzling into your neck like you're his mommy. j.m@talk 11-27-2002, 06:11 PM Lovely some Skankey old moggy gozzing on you :( Cluedo 11-28-2002, 10:15 AM Used to be a dog person. But that's changed since have a few cats. Cats are much lower maintenance...can go on vacation without expensive boarding fees. An indoor cat can go potty all by itself! Plus we've been lucky enough to have a couple with "personality"....you'd swear (and probably so would the cat) that it was human. Very very weird. Dogs are more loyal and are protective, but over the years I've learned to dislike them becase: a. Every dog I've had seems to think that the basement is a backyard (ok to use for crapping). b. Eats ****! My daughter's dog is a Sheltie...so very cute. But it would rather go out in the yard (or kitty litter box) and eat **** than anything else. Disgusting!! I still think if I feed it just one meal...I'd never have to buy it more food; it would just keep recyling. :( c. And last...nobody wants to clean up after it. Might be fine in the country, but not in town with a typical yard. It's not nice to tip-toe through a yard full of dog ****. extreme_gamer 11-28-2002, 12:56 PM if dogs eat all this wierd "****" and other "stuff" then you dont have to feed him/her. LOL :r yum Bigjakkstaffa 11-28-2002, 01:56 PM to quote pulp fiction "Dog eats its own feces do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal?" Snakes!!! They're illegal in Hawaii and there is only one kind here. It looks like an earth worm and try's to bury itself in you hand with a pointy tail if you hold it. :( Moho's we got. Most of them work for Geico! ;) Occasionally a snake escapes from the zoo or sneaks aboard a cargo plane. They don't last long. Snake is a delicacy for some Asians. :r drydoc 11-28-2002, 07:33 PM Dog's rule, especially Labs......nuf said;) Cluedo 11-28-2002, 08:06 PM Originally posted by BlackTruckRyder I say get one of each and have the best/worst of both worlds. :D :D One cat, one dog, two goldfish, one guinea pig, xxxxxfleas:rolleyes: I figured the goldfish would die soon after my daughter won them at a game at a fair; that's been almost four years ago. It's hillarious to watch her stand her ground and make him afraid...:D But I wouldn't feel too bad if he bit her hard enough to scare her off. I just don't think he really stands much of a chance (she's a Torttie; highly aggressive, knows cat-judo) ß.Qµix ukulele 12-01-2002, 04:48 PM When you see a cat chase a pitbull up a tree, then it's time to collar the cat. leprechaun_40 12-02-2002, 12:07 AM I used to have a cat that chased german sheperds,, he hated everything,, except me:D he went about 20lbs, and wasn't fat either:r :r extreme_gamer 12-02-2002, 12:15 AM come on now... can dogs be any more loveable, or cuter than this???
