Alright, so my computer freezes up... i restart it, everything's f***ed up and i have to reinstall my monitor and video drivers. it also screwed with my icq. the big thing is it put a bunch of junk in my taskbar at setup and when i go to C:\windows\startmenu\programs\startup it's not in there. directcd, stbwebtv, and webscanx are starting up and they weren't there before... please help

Is there a win95 version of that command... or should I have it even though I don't for some reason?

Hi!
You can also go to run, type in regedit, then go to local machine/ software/ microsoft/ windows/ current version/ then run. There may be several keys labeled run, run once, run services, etc. click on these and see what's in there. If you know for sure that an entry is what you don't want, or need, delete it. Problem is, if you're running say virus scan, it will put it back for you when you reboot.
If that's the case, you will have to make adjustments to your programs, such as anti viruses, etc., and tell them what you want them to do.
Also, you can download Startup Cop from ZDNET. It works better than MSCONFIG,(in my opinion anyway.)
