I NEED TO B UY A NEW TV AND I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR OPINIONS. THE TV SHOULD BE MAX $550 AND AT LEAST 27"
IT SHOULD HAVE 1 COMPONENT IN.
IS A FLAT PICTURE THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE?(SONY WEGA)

No need to shout....
A Flat Screen is much preferred, more picture , less distortion, usually ditgital ready.
I think a Sharp or Toshiba will come less expensive but with equal quality. Sony's are just over priced IMO. You should do your shopping locally since the shipping could be drastic.

oh man, listen to me, sony is a wonder!!!!
my family has had over 3 sony tv and none of them died on us. the most recent one i bought for myself is a wega 27" fs13. I have satellite hooks up to it. ****, the amazement at its picture quality never ceases. My sister bought a panasonic. Died within 2 years. my grandparents got another panasonic, colors got ****ed up pretty quick.

The Toshiba and Sony 27" Flat Screens are the best, but they will cost more than $550.00.
