Pretty low spec pc for software decoding. Best bet would be a hollywood decoder card. Its that or a upgrade of cpu to higher and mem too. the cpu's gonna mean a whole new mobo etc. BUT the decoder card will do all the dvd work for you and tax notta on the pc. The best and cheapest route is decoder card if happy with pc right now.:)
Thks Mate
One more question do you know where to buy? and how much
that would cost?
Sorry for trouble...

I'd say that would be the bare minimum for DVD playback... My friend has an almost identical system, except he's got consideribly more RAM and as long as he's not doing any other tasks, it plays DVD's pretty well.

as for shops try:
www.ebuyer.com
www.dabs.com
www.overclockers.co.uk
or
www.watford.co.uk
CPU is perhaps a lil bit slow and the gfx card may be lacking

That card will do great for DVD. I use a G400 on my kid's system, with dualhead outputting to my 31" TV, and it runs DVDs great.
But as mentioned, that processor is going to be too slow.
Matrox recomends at least a P3-450 for smooth playback with that card.

Cant help with UK shops, sorry Im in the US. Anyhow Bigjakkstaffa should know the ropes in that turf. Yes that video card is enuff, but as I said the mem and cpu not. Unless you score a hollywood DVD encoder card which takes over all the dvd stuff leaving your cpu power and mem free. With a decoder card it will look great though!;)

Hi Bigjakkstaffa
Thks for it I've already looked at the prices and my Got
they quite expensive...
My budget is not big...Don't laugh but I wouldn't mind paying around £30 - 40, but not £110
Maybe I'll go to e-bay and search there...
Thks Mate for your dogs!!!

WiGo have you tried running a DVD movie on it yet? YOu might be surprised but i think it could run on your system just fine. My old computer was a Gateway With a P-II 300mhz cpu, 4mb TNT card, and 128mb of ram and it ran DVDs really good. Actually it was Gateways first DVD computer. So try it out first before you go out and start buying all of the extra cards and stuff:t
