Posts of this nature will be locked or deleted. just FYI DrVette club_med 04-01-2001, 07:34 AM is there anyone out there that can tell me how to bypass that 14 days limit Very easy, buy it http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif cm. maxxx 04-01-2001, 02:02 PM I will buy it as soon it's out Mntsnow 04-01-2001, 02:04 PM Format and reinstall until you can buy it Jim9999 04-01-2001, 02:04 PM You're running into the registration requirement that will be built-in to the product. If you are a legitimate Beta tester, then register it using the information provided in the Beta kit. If you stole it, then you are why the registration is there. UncaDanno 04-02-2001, 06:29 AM And while you're at it, take a look at http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/012425.html (Blow the) Whistler is part of the M$ initiative to require that your identity information is stored on their servers. Next step: you have to be connected to their server in order to use your machine. 'At's why Bill is now head of the "Services" division of M$. His vision is that all users will only RENT software. Jim9999 04-02-2001, 07:52 AM You're mixing some ideas and concepts here. The registration requirement is not renting software. It's to keep people from taking one CD and installing it on multiple machines. This isn't to make people rent Whistler. It's an effort to keep them from stealing it. Surely you don't object to a company trying to keep theft to a minimum. That would be like complaining about CompUSA locking the doors at night keeping you from just taking the stuff when no one was looking. There is a separate concept floating around that may be attractive to larger businesses that don't particularly want to own software and put years of upgrades in closets... but that's not what we're talking about. socalgal 04-04-2001, 07:23 PM Do NOT seek illegal methods here. And, do NOT multiple post. I appreciate your replies, which are valid and legitimate. SysOpot does not condone, nor allow the solicitation or the posting of illegal methods in these forums.
