sound card error

i got a old sound card sound blaster 16 and it`s working well for all of my recents games But for the game crimson skies,I got a error at the startup of the game : impossible to open the game because your sound card is no supported by directx7 and above.I installed the latest driver : same problem.Another type of driver same problem. In directx diag my sound card is not certified so is it possible to know where i can find a patch to certifie my card or how to resolve my problem..... thank !!

You might want to check Creative Lab's site for info and/or drivers. They are the experts on their cards.

Sorry, Lucky, but you're missing the point ... you need to buy a new card. Software vendors have enough trouble just keeping up with NEW technology. After a while they ALL give up on the old stuff. If it says DirectX7 does not support your card, that's what it means, and it will most likely stay that way - unsupported. Wishing and hoping will not make that change.
