Windows boot fine with PC2100 memory module, but when I
replace it with a PC2700 memory module I get a windows
screen which tell me it has detected a hardware change.
It gives me serveral options (safe mode, safe mode
network, safe mode dos prompt, normal mode and normal mode
with last good configuration, but when I choose any of
them the computer reboots.
I am certain the PC2700 module is working because I have
tested it on another machine. The machine boot fine when I uninstall the PC2700 and reinstall the PC2100 module.
The ASUS motherboard is able to handle the PC2700 according to the manual and is recognizing the new memory module during boot up. Model of the board is A7V333 SKT-A VIA KT333
I appreciate your input or suggestions.
