I am wanting to 1st locate all video/mpeg files and put them in one folder. I am not sure how to do this. I am running Win ME. When I go to search for files and folders I am not having much luck with getting specific all mpeg or video files. Thanks in advance for any advise!

Type *.mpg into the find window. When the search is done, go to the Edit menu and click Select All. Then, Edit and Cut. Then paste into folder of your choice.

wyvrn,
Thank You! That worked perfect. Can you tell me what the *. means?

The * basically tells the computer to ignore the actual name of the files, and to focus on the type of file, you can use for everything, for example if you are looking for jpg files you could do the same:
*.jpg or *.bmp or even *.mp3
Hope this helped,
cm.
You can also use the * for partial words. You can type H*.html and it will find all files starting with H of the file name with a html extension. You can use the * in any part of a file name. If you type H*l.*, it will find all files starting with "H" and ending with an "L" with any extensions. You can use the * for the file name and/or file extensions.
