I'd like to have some people that I can IM, for computer problems, or the like. If you have one, give me your screen name...thanks -=jd=- jkac123 03-29-2001, 09:00 AM jadison, I personally do not care for it. Sorry. Tekk 03-29-2001, 03:42 PM I don't use MSN messenger because it came out later than ICQ http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I prefer ICQ because it just is easier and a little more powerful (but less protective from spam). I use ICQ and AIM. Warthog 03-30-2001, 05:41 AM I'll put it this way: If the majority of Sysopt members used, MSN IM, I would use it. As it stands now, the majority use ICQ, which sucks IMO, but I still use it. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif ICQ is unreliable, loaded with a maze of weird, unneeded features, etc. Sorry, man http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif Warthog jadison 03-30-2001, 08:38 AM That's alright, I figured since I just downloaded it, and I use it to communicate w/ my Dad in Austin from here @ school, I thought I'd see if I could add somebody from SYSOPT, that way I could get puter-advice instantly http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I've tried just about every other IM out there, I agree ICQ is a bit loaded, MSN is convenient 'cause i've had an acct. w/ them since '98. So if anyone else has it, share it, thanks! -=jd=- PS. It'd be great if Sysopt had a chat room jadison 03-31-2001, 08:25 PM back 2 top bhess 03-31-2001, 08:42 PM you should tre yahoo IM instead. You can talk back and forth with it. And you just hit enter to send it unlike clicking send or alt-s with ICQ. And you can create a chatroom and talk in it. I hate icq now. it is so dated. It used to be the one but got left behind. IMHO jadison 04-01-2001, 01:16 PM That's what MSN Instant Messenger does, and u can send files back and forth, as well as other features -=jd=- mudoggy 04-01-2001, 05:39 PM THe newest versions of AIM do that as well. Direct connect is neat.. just make sure you trust your buddy! bhess 04-02-2001, 06:21 PM I tried voice on msn and i had to install software (can't remember)that didn't even work. jman01pa 04-03-2001, 06:36 PM I use it and like it. Perfectly simple. For now.... J http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif SysOpt.com
