Does anyone have any experience with the Veritas Backup System? It seems very expensive.
Does it need any special, or additional hardware?
Who are the competitors, and why is Veritas so much more expensive?

Veritas makes various backup products. BackUpMyPC is not really expensive.

The Windows Backup program is written by Veritas. They know their stuff.
No - no hardware is required, but tape drives (IDE, SCSI and USB), CD burners and Zip drives are supported.

You're probably referring to Backup Exec. That is intended more for servers, not home users. That's why it's expensive.
