which is better?

i've noticed that alienware and falcon-northwest use these psu in their computers, but is it just hype?

i was pointed to a shoot out on psu's at tom's hardware and the stats and tests rated the antec superior to the enermax!

i just wanted to get some info on this before i purchase a enermax psu!

thanks guys

Both are fine, seems to come down to what other features you want or need, I use the enermax with a fan speed control.

You can't go wrong with either one

My opinion:

I went with a Antec Trupower 550. This is a great power supply, and has gotten excellent reviews all over the web. It does not share power between the different voltages, so you get awesome regulated power throughout.

I went with the 550 watt model, cause the way I look at it, is you can never have too much power, but the moment you have high draws and not enough power, you will definately see and regret the outcomes.

The 550 Power supply is very reasonable and I think it is worth every dollar. I wouldn't have any other one in any of my systems.

krazykatz911, that’s exactly the model I’m getting for my new system build.

Thanks to BPB for the recommendation :t

They both give good, clean, reliable power and are very true to their power ratings, unlike many cheap psus.

I own both and I like both. Good stuff. You can't go wrong with either brand.

I use Antec exclusively, but either one is an investment well made for any pc your going to build.

I swear by Antecs and the same manufacturers who actually produce the PSUs for them, ie. Channel Well, Herolchi, etc..(Antec just relabels them under their own branding).
