Either will work but I would recommend PC133. In either case, make sure you get good quality RAM and not generic for your Athlon.

So, what is it specifically that constitutes "good quality" RAM? I see this mentioned all the time, but nowhere have I seen any "technical" description. It obviously has to do with the memory chips and the PCB layout, but what is it that I should be looking for? Any specific chip vendors, device speeds...?

Thanks

I have built a T-Bird 900 using 2 Dimms PC100
for over 2 months no problems.

nasTyneF,
You can mix ram but I believe it will run at the slower (PC 100) speed.

PC100 vs PC133, I would take PC133 always..

and as dave pointed out, make sure you buy a high quality brand to avoid any performance/compatability issues..

As long as it is decent RAM, it will work fine. It may not overclock as well, but it will work on an Athlon 900. If you want, let us know what the chips say on the RAM and we will let you know if it is good or not. If it says Infineon or Micron, it is good. If it doesn't, it does not mean it is bad, though.
