I just playled wolf3D (1992 DOS version) and had lots of fun. I know that todays games need 512mb video cards & 10 Ghz CPU's, but after playing a decent 2D gamed like wolf 3d from 1992 or so was very fun. I only wish I played this game in 1992.

i guess if you like flat 2d animation, pixelized characters, no animation, and endlessly repeating levels its a good game.

Similarly, I tried playing duke nukem again and its just not the same as when I first played it. My standards have been raised since those days and I think the games have truly gotten better, not just graphically.

Its a classic - still got it tucked away on the shelf, gets dusted off at intervals and a good ol play - great stuff :D

I love DOS games....back then they made your imagination do most of the work...The ole King's Quests for example.

My favorite old DOS game was Death Ralley. It's by 3D Realms (makers of Duke 3D and Rise of the Triad). It'd not 3D at all, but it was an awesome game. Anyone know how to make these old games run on a DDR motherboard? I can play Duke Nukem, but not Death Ralley. It doesn't detect enough SDRAM, and won't start. If anyone can tell me how to fix this I would *REALLY* appreciate it!
