I downloaded a couple things off the internet and it said it was going to a temporary folder. I can not find these files even though I know they are there. Could somebody please tell me where the Win 2000 pro temp folder is.

Thanks

if you know the file name or part of it,, just do a search for it.. and you will probably find it that way,, if not right click start, explore and look for a temp download folder in the windows tree...or look in your default download program and find out what folder you have your downloaded files sent to....hope it works,,,,

Even if you find the directory (which should be called Temporary Internet Folder) you may not be able to retreive your files. :(

what kind of files did you download? If it is sreaming media like .ram then just go back to the web page and instead of clicking to view right-click on the link then Save As.

If you click on a link to downoad a file and it asks you whether you want to save it or run from memory, if you choose the last it will be downloaded into that folder. It is temporary though, it doesn't keep. Download it again and choose to save on disk instead of running.
